I had not heard much about the brand on Suisse Sport. So I set it up to check it out before camping. (a pleasant surprise)
I was comparing this tent to the Columbia Cougar Flats II and the Eureka Copper Canyon both are about 33% more money than this tent and similar in size and style. I liked the screen area better and saw the poles were pretty weak on the Eureka and even though the Cougar flats is bigger it has less usable room because it slopes more like a dome tent.
First impression, I opened the box and saw it has a zipper storage bag.
PROS:
The total weight is just under 30lbs, the frame is quality 19mm steel poles with larger fiberglass pole.
The shape of this tent has almost vertical walls which gives you maximum space.
87" high ceilings so it doesn't seem like you are in a cave I like all the sizes of this tent.

What You Need to Know If this Tent is Right for You., November 22, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Suisse Sport 14' x 10' Montana Family Dome Tent With Screened Porch Room (Sports) I purchased this tent last year for Bonnaroo (A 4 day music festival in TN). I took the time after reading the other reviews to set up the tent beforehand to make sure everything worked accordingly. One reviewer stated he tried to set it up with his 12 year old daughter and ended up breaking a pole. That is one key issue right there. You MUST have 2 full grown adults. The taller the better. My room mate and I, each just under 6 foot set up the entire tent in about 30minutes. Some parts however were very difficult. The poles on each corner cross over the center to form an 'X', like on many other tents. The thing is, since the angle of the wall is so extreme, meaning it stands completely upright when erect. You have to have enough strength to lift up the poles at the same time across from each other. It's not so much heavy as it is awkward, but with 2 adults, it can be done. The MOST difficult part comes when trying to put the pin from the base of the tent into the pole crossing half... Read more

This tent has all the features that my boyfriend and i were looking for...he is 6'1 and can stand nicely in it and change without having to bend akwardly. Also, we wanted a tent that we wouldnt have to constantly walk across the area where we were sleeping. We have room for a queen air bed, our dogs bed and still room to put things and walk around 2 sides of the bed. Sometimes we even make a makeshift table and watch movies on a portable dvd player out in the woods, and still have room! With all that said...that is just using the sleeping area.
I am a mosquito magnet. I love camping and the outdoors but no amount of repellent can keep them off me. We LOVE the fact that we can set up a table and cooler in the porch area while he cooks on the grill just on the outside of the tent. Yet we dont feel seperated and can enjoy conversation just like cooking at home... Read more
